Just when I was thinking about some comfy pair of riding/teaching in boots...

...I came across THIS: Nike Ippeas

I don't understand this. I mean to me the boot is ugly, but I have never found my long boots uncomfortable. The zip causes lax in my tendons if I walk to much in them, but apart from that I can't remember ever thinking hmm I wish my boots were sneakers. I don't trust the heel either, to slopey and small.

I actually like them. Not the heel, looks plastic and too over-designed.

I like my leather boots - for competing. However, when I spend all days, day by day, 8 to 9 hours a day, in them teaching and riding my feet are not happy bunnies. I need something that looks like a riding boot but walks like a sneaker!

Unfortunately, these won't apparently be for wide release. They will just be for Beijing competitors.

I'm not convinced by these - they'd be alright without the ugly Nike tick on the side!
I LOVE my Cavallo long boots. The zip is broken at the moment and is waiting to get fixed, but I would wear them all day every day if I could. They took a while to break in, but now putting them on after a while of not wearing them is like...putting on old boots...for want of a better expression!!!

I'm not sure I'm ready for these Nike boots! The heel worries me and I don't like that the spur is part of the boot like that. The zipper is really cool though!

But regardless - You should try Ariat boots. They use the same foot-sole technology as Nike does, but in a more traditional riding boot. The best part about them is that they are designed for wearing all day and all around! (And they are SOOOOO comfortable) I think we have some simple Ariat foot soles around the store for $20. Do you want me to send you some to stick in your boots now? What size shoe are you? :-) http://www.ariat.com/

especially look at this section too: http://www.ariat.com/products_technologies.aspx?tcid=22&tid=9

Ilove them. I will find a way to own a pair, just for schooling of course. Unless they make an all black version for showing.

Echo - Cavallo might be great but way out of my budget!
Candace - I will email you :) and must look closer at Ariats as you are the nth person recommending them to me :)
20metres circle - I think it would be great if they just did a plain black version without all the "decoration".
